Why most med-spa Instagram strategies stop short
Most med-spa Instagram accounts post beautiful content, gain followers, and… that’s it. The conversion from follower-to-DM is fine, but the conversion from DM-to-consult is where studios lose 70% of inquiries. The bottleneck is almost always speed-of-response and consistency-of-follow-up.
The 4-stage funnel that converts
Stage 1: DM → Inquiry capture (within 5 minutes)
When someone DMs “How much is Botox?” or “Do you do lip filler?”, the response should be a friendly auto-reply with a calendar link AND a soft qualification: “Hey! Filler is from $650, depending on amount. Most clients book a free 15-min consult first so we can match what you’re looking for. Here are this week’s openings: [link].”
Speed matters: 5-minute response converts at 3× the rate of 30-minute response.
Stage 2: Inquiry → Booked consult (within 24 hours)
If they didn’t book from the DM, a follow-up via Instagram or SMS (if they shared their phone): “Hi [name], wanted to follow up on your question — were you thinking lips, cheeks, or something else? Happy to send some real before/after examples.” Specificity converts.
Stage 3: Booked consult → Showed-up consult (24-hour rate)
Day-before SMS reminder. Day-of 2-hour SMS reminder. If they don’t confirm, AI-call. Show-up rate climbs from 55% (industry) to 85%+.
Stage 4: Showed-up consult → Booked treatment (during or within 7 days of consult)
Most consults convert in-the-room if the financing conversation and the pricing transparency are handled well. The remaining 30% convert in the 90-day post-consult nurture sequence — which is where the snapshot’s consultation funnel earns its keep.

Where the snapshot does the heavy lifting
